If you are a home owner or private tenant you could take advantage of the latest Government backed scheme, ECO Affordable Warmth. Funded by the 'Big Six', ECO (Energy Company Obligation) has been launched to help those in receipt of low-income related benefits have energy efficient boilers and insulation installed completely free of charge. GetGrants help you to secure the 100% grants quickly, efficiently & online.
If you are in receipt of certain income-related benefits you could qualify to upgrade your heating system with no cost to you. Some of the benefits which qualify include Pension Credits, Child Tax Credits, Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), Income Support, Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance & Working Tax Credit. In some instances, your household will need to have a combined income of less then £15,860 per year.
It has never been easier to apply for a boiler &/or home insulation grant. Our simple form will run you through the process step-by-step and tell you instantly what you do and don't qualify for, once we've receieved your details a member of our team will be in touch and once approved your details can then succesfully be handed over to a local installer who will take you through to survey, then install. Applying for a grant is 100% free of charge.
You do not necessarily need to receive any benefits in order to qualify for free home insulation. Your property may qualify due to its construction type and age, certain postcodes qualify and three storey homes too.
When boilers age, they become costly to replace so if you are in receipt of child tax credits and your sole income was less than £15,860 for last year, you could have it replaced with an A rated boiler free of charge.
Pension Credit is a top-up to help those with a very low income to get by. If you receieve it, you could replace your old ineffcient boiler with a brand new one, or have your home insulated with no cost to you.
If your household income was less than £15,860 for last year and you receieve working tax credits then there is a good chance you could claim a free boiler and/or home insulation.

We've been helping home owners, landlords and private tenants secure energy saving grants for a very long time now and over this time we've gotten ourselves plenty of feedback. The most common response by far "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is" - It is truly hard to believe, we know that, we couldn't believe it either at first, but it is. Genuinly.
In short, the 'Big Six' energy suppliers. The Government has slapped them on the wrist and ordered them to support those living in fuel poverty and to help reduce the UKs carbon footprint (hence 'The Energy Company Obligation')- So, they have all clubbed together and filled this big pot of money which is to be spent by March 2015 by installing energy efficiency measures in households nationwide such as new boiler systems and home insulation.
The 'ECO Affordable Warmth' money pot is only to be spent on those in high risk. This includes households which are in receipt of income-related benefits such as Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit etc. If you qualify under 'Affordable Warmth' you can claim free replacement boilers and home insulation on a 100% grant.
It is important for people to know that 'ECO' isn't just for those in receipt of benefits. It has been split down in to three different parts called HHCRO (benefits related), CSCO (area specific) and CERO (houses which have hard to treat walls, are three storeys or require remedial work). HHCRO is benefits related, so we wont go over that again.
Under CSCO, you can claim for free home insulation if your property sits within a certain postcode area. These are specified areas of low income. You can check instantly if your property sits within a CSCO postcode by using our CSCO searching tool.
CERO is for properties which are classed as 'Hard to Treat'. This could mean that they need four hours or more of remedial works including re-pointing and the clearing of rubble from the cavity walls (this is subject to survey). CERO also applies to three storey properties, particularly common in period homes. You can also claim for External Wall Insulation if your home is of a solid brick construction where huge savings can be made. Loft insulation can also be claimed for under CERO, but this is a secondary measure (i.e, the wall will need to be insulated before the loft can be done).
